Music integrate our differences in one spirit
Music is the art of combining vocal or instrumental
sounds or both to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.
In reality check music does not have any concrete meaning it has unique meaning
for different people. Yet as South African’s we are aware of the role and
impact music played in our country. Music has amalgamated us as one nation. It’s
a platform that unite people in times of difficulty it frees one’s mind and
soul.
That's one of the reason there is a show call Jam
Jam Sandwich where different market segments of South African music industry are
put together to collaborate on writing a new song despite their contrasting
musical styles. This show proves enough on how music can play a role in our
lives. I found this show interesting because in most cases they put together
musicians from Afrikaner genre and African genre. It’s so interesting on how
these musicians come together with the purpose of collaborating one song. Regardless
of their differences.
In addition music brings people from different
tribes together it permits us to experience and share same emotions. We are the
same in heart and spirit. Nevertheless of our nationality, ethnic, the
expression of our love and our faith music proves we are the same.
